Chief justice Declares treaty "Worthless"

Chief Justice Sir James Prendergast’s statements when delivering judgment in the case. They talked about how they would build a school on the Maori land if they could own it. Later on to realise the Maori had given their land and they didn't build anything on it so the Maoris asked for there land back. The judge said a complete no and had something against the Maori about there land. He declared the treaty of Waitangi was worthless.
